our instructors

At Miss Fit, we have a group of instructors that specialize in healthy movement for body and soul. Our instructors offer a wide variety of revitalizing programs, from group sessions to one-on-one training. See how each of us can inspire you!
Earning a biology degree with personal training was a lovely way to cultivate two of my passions: science and movement. I am able to keep each session fresh thanks to over a decade of training experience and over a handful of certifications. I welcome you to visit me at the studio for a handcrafted personal training session. It can change your life. For more information, reach me at 503.481.6381.
I want yoga to be as healing for others as it has been for me. In 2005 I began to undertake teacher training with Anna Forrest at the Forrest Yoga Institute in CA. This deep work showed me my life path and since then I have been teaching yoga full time. I believe that within each student lies a vast wellspring of love and potential. It is my job to draw that out of my students, regardless of age, experience or fitness. My classes blend rigorous poses and soothing adjustments. It is a gift given to me to give to you! As a teacher and practitioner of clairvoyant/intuitive healing and spirit consciousness, I offer both classes and private sessions in meditation, aura/chakra clearing and psychic reading. I am also a practitioner of Ayurvedic Yoga, the practice of using yoga as medicine to heal specific ailments and prevent illness. New to Portland, I moved here from NYC to attend Birthingway College of Midwifery. I have several years of yoga and prenatal yoga teaching experience, and I also work as a birth doula. My pre-natal yoga class is challenging but safe. It helps women trust their bodies and make pregnancy and birth-related choices based on their understanding of themselves. For more information, reach me at 917.334.7766.
I utilize massage therapy as a catalyst to assist my clients in transformation on a deep level. Every massage session will be customized to fit each client's individual needs. I currently practice Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, and I’m expanding my practice to include Shiatsu and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. For an appointment, reach me at 503.473.9142.
I believe that movement can change the world. After completing the Core Dynamics teacher training course my enthusiasm for the art of Pilates became unlimited. In my spare time, I enjoy art, reading, history, my nephew Ukiah, and laughing with friends and family. "Decide to remain true to yourself" – Joseph Pilates. My commitment to health guides my personal and professional life. I started my career as a Registered Nurse in 1992 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2000. After developing a passion for teaching Yoga in 2004, I completed a 500-hour Yoga Alliance approved program in 2007. I also integrate my skills as a Certified Personal Trainer, all resulting in a holistic approach to fitness and well-being. Visit www.livelimber.com or call 503.256.1334 for more information.
I discovered Nia in March 2005. With my background as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and teaching dance for several years, I knew this was something I wanted to share with others. I took my White Belt Training in April 2007 so I could share the Joy of Movement. I encourage my massage clients or anyone who has had limited movement to take Nia. It is a wonderful way to create mobility, stability, and flexibility in the body while having a lot of fun! So, come with me and fly! Let's Dance! For more information, reach me at 503.810.5318.
Budokon is a physical practice that will challenge your body in the areas of balance, flexibility, agility, power/explosive movement and cardio. It is a holistic and natural way to work out without the use of any equipment. I learn a lot about my students by observing their movement on the mat. It is my work as their teacher to bring them to a place of center and connectivity, starting with how they move on the mat! Teaching Budokon challenges me to be my best. I am constantly asking of myself "mastery" so that I can ask it of my students. For more information, reach me at 503.481.7940.
